Megan Merchant

Editor, Owner

Megan Merchant (she/her) lives in the tall pines of Prescott, AZ with her husband and two children. She holds an M.F.A. degree in International Creative Writing from UNLV and is the author of three full-length poetry collections with Glass Lyre Press: Gravel Ghosts (2016), The Dark’s Humming (2015 Lyrebird Award Winner, 2017), Grief Flowers (2018), four chapbooks, and a children’s book, These Words I Shaped for You (Philomel Books). Her latest book, Before the Fevered Snow, was released in April 2020 with Stillhouse Press. She was awarded the 2016-2017 COG Literary Award, judged by Juan Felipe Herrera, the 2018 Beullah Rose Poetry Prize, second place in the Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry, the Inaugural Michelle Boisseau Prize, and the New American Book Prize. Tommy Sheffield

Tommy Sheffield (he/him) was born in 1991, in Fairfax, Virginia. He is a graduate of James Madison University, where he studied poetry under Laurie Kutchins. He currently resides in Fairfax, VA and teaches high school in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of the Creative Writing MFA program at George Mason University, where he studied poetry; he is also the poetry editor for Stillhouse Press. He has served as the Managing Editor for Megan Merchant's poetry collection Before the Fevered Snow; Baltimore Sons, a collection by Dean Smith, head of Duke University Press; How to Bury a Boy at Sea, the debut collection of poet Phil Goldstein alongside Stillhouse editor Rose Strode; The Machine Code of a Bleeding Moon by Latif Askia Ba; and A Map of Every Undoing by Alicia Elkort. Sheffield's poetry, stories, and essays have been featured in ucity review, Adelaide, Sanitarium, Cough Syrup Magazine, 3 A.M. Press, and many lesser-known zines.

Mickardo Streete

Financial Consultant

Mickardo Streete was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica

on a sunny August day. An avid lover of academia and international cultures, he was educated both in Jamaica and the United States. He graduated from the University of Alabama with an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics, M.A. in Economics, and a certificate in Predictive Modeling. Additionally, he has a B.Sc. in Business Economics and Social Statistics, and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of the West Indies. While working as the Senior Fiscal Economist at the Ministry of Finance in Kingston, Jamaica, he earned a certificate in Debt Sustainability Analysis from the IMF. He currently resides and teaches in Washington, D.C.

Alicia Elkort (she/her) has been nominated thrice for the Pushcart, twice for Best of the Net, and once for the Orisons Anthology. Her first book of poetry will be published in the fall of 2022 by Stillhouse Press. She has been published in numerous journals and anthologies. She lives in Santa Fe, NM. Luke Johnson lives on the California coast with his wife and three kids. His poems can be found at Kenyon Review, Narrative Magazine, Florida Review, Frontier, Thrush, and elsewhere. His manuscript in progress was recently named a finalist for the Jake Adam York Prize, The Levis through Four Way Press, The Vassar Miller Award and is forthcoming fall of 2023 from Texas Review Press. Martin Willitts Jr is a retired Librarian living in Syracuse, New York. He edits the Comstock Review. Nominated for 17 Pushcart and 13 Best of the Net awards. Winner of the 2014 Dylan Thomas International Poetry Contest; Rattle Ekphrastic Challenge, 2015, Editor’s Choice; Rattle Ekphrastic Challenge, Artist’s Choice, 2016, Stephen A. DiBiase Poetry Prize, 2018; Editor’s Choice, Rattle Ekphrastic Challenge, 2020; the 2022 Seventeenth Annual Seong Writing Competition. His 25 chapbooks include the Turtle Island Quarterly Editor’s Choice Award, “The Wire Fence Holding Back the World” (Flowstone Press, 2017), plus 21 full-length collections including 2019 Blue Light Award “The Temporary World.” His new book is “All Wars Are the Same War” (FutureCycle Press, 2022).
